![]() Hampton Inn groundbreaking in CorryvilleCommunity celebrates economic growth.Community leaders, elected officials, developers and residents gathered on Short Vine in Corryville to celebrate the groundbreaking of a major project expected to spur development and revitalization in this signature Cincinnati entertainment district.
The project, dubbed “3000 Vine,” covers an entire city block in Corryville bounded by Short Vine, Martin Luther King Boulevard, Ahrens and East Rochelle. The project features an 80,000-square foot, 132-room Hampton Inn & Suites hotel set atop a 219-car public parking garage; three additional retail spaces are available as well. It is expected to create more than 200 jobs. Community leaders and developers see 3000 Vine as key to the “bookend” approach to revitalizing Short Vine, with major projects on opposite ends of Short Vine encouraging development up and down the street. The other bookend is University Plaza, a parcel being redeveloped by Anchor Properties that currently includes Kroger and Walgreens locations in addition to other, smaller retailers. “This is an exciting day for Corryville,” said Clyde Nowlin, president of the Corryville Community Council. “We are writing a new chapter in the history of Short Vine and of our neighborhood.” |
